Contact Robert Hiseler

Rob comes from a family with strong ties to the Peterborough area.  He attended high school in Peterborough and has lived in the area for most his life.  Rob brings a diverse skill set and unique experiences to the firm, which have been shaped by spending several years working and travelling across Canada.  Before beginning his legal career he worked in the social services, which helped him develop an ethic of care and a steadfast focus on his clients’ well-being.

Rob received his undergraduate degree with honours at Queen's University and attended law school the University of New Brunswick, where he made the Dean’s List and won several awards.  His final year of law school was completed at the University of Alberta.  This segued into him completing articles at one of the oldest firms in the province and being called to the Bar of Alberta in 2013.  Rob was happy to return to Ontario in September 2013 to not only settle down closer to family, but also to give back to the community where he grew up.  He was called to the Bar in Ontario in 2014 and joined McGillen Keay Cooper in January 2015.

Rob has a broad interest in the law.  He has experience in residential and commercial real estate, drafting wills and powers of attorney, applications for guardianship, corporate law, drafting contracts, expropriations, business regulation, landlord/tenant law, employment law, family law, and civil litigation.  Rob can help you deal with a wide variety of problems while looking after your interests and your rights.
